Vivo’s gaming brand iQOO is currently working on its next flagship smartphone dubbed iQOO 3 Pro. After launching numerous affordable devices, it looks like the brand has refocussed on the flagship segment. This is not the first time we’re hearing about the smartphone. In fact, it appeared on GeekBench for benchmarking back in June.
Well, the device has now knocked at 3C for the certification. As expected, the listing has revealed some key information as well.
iQOO 3 Pro will feature 55W fast charging!
Vivo iQOO 3 Pro surfaces on 3C listing with the model number V2024A. Although the listing doesn’t really mention the moniker, it is rumored to be iQOO 3 Pro. As per the listing, iQOO 3 Pro will be bundled with a 55W fast charger. Sadly, the listing doesn’t really talk about anything else.
As mentioned earlier, the device previously made its appearance on GeekBench. That appearance revealed that the device will pack 8GB of RAM and will run on Android 10.
The listing also mentioned the “Kona” motherboard which points towards both Snapdragon 865 and 865+. As of now, there is no concrete evidence for which chipset the device will make use of. Earlier the device was thought to belong Vivo’s X or NEX lineup but turns out, it is indeed iQOO’s offering. With that said, more information should arrive forward in the coming days or weeks.
To recall, the original iQOO 3 comes with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED panel with Gorilla Glass 6 and HDR10+. The device makes use of Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage. It also comes with 55W fast charging that charges the 4,400 mAh battery to 50% in 15 min.
Launch seems imminent!
Considering the device has now appeared on 3C listing, it is safe to assume that the official launch is quite near. Generally, a smartphone launches a month after making its appearance on 3C listing for certification. If that’s the case, then we should see the device getting official in August.
With competitors launching their own 2020 gaming devices, iQOO might be looking to grab the consumer’s attention soon. Well, we’re just speculating here so take this with a pinch of salt.
