When the Moto RAZR foldable smartphone was out, it made a huge stir. Many were thinking it won’t succeed. But as we saw, this handset has become very popular in all those markets where it was launched.
This inspired many other major smartphone makers. And most likely, we will see many new handsets with a similar form factor. But while Moto’s rivals are thinking about whether to launch or not similar models, this company has already prepared the next-gen device. Today, one of the Weibo users published a couple of photos showing how the Moto RAZR 2 will look.
As we can see, the second-generation RAZR is more rounded at the edges than the previous generation. Also, the front of the fuselage is silver, which is consistent with the information previously exposed.
It seems the rest of the design elements remain unchanged or they were changed not much. Anyway, we have heard too much about the upcoming Moto RAZR 2. So this is the right time to collect them in one place.
Moto RAZR 2 Leaked Features
Interestingly, prior to this, we found a patent, showing the smartphone would integrate a foldable display and will have sensitive sides to the user’s touch. According to what is described by the patent, the lateral touch band would consist of several sensors capable of associating 20 different functions. In correspondence with the recognition of 20 different gestures. We mean the rounded edges shouldn’t be added on its own. They will have a certain function.
Well, when it comes to hardware, not everything is so attractive as the case of appearance. The Motorola RAZR 2 will ship with a Snapdragon 765 (not Snapdragon 765G). So, once again, Motorola’s foldable device will be below other foldable phones with flagship hardware. The Snapdragon 765 is good, but its performance can’t even surpass the Snapdragon 855+ found in the Z Flip. The processing power will be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage.
The device itself is expected to come with a 6.2-inch flexible P-OLED internal display while the outer secondary screen is said to get a bump up to 2.7-inches. Motorola is also expected to upgrade the cameras on the RAZR with a 48MPsensor on the back and a 20MP selfie shooter under the notch upfront as opposed to 16MP and a 5MP on the predecessor respectively.
Finally, in terms of the launch date, initially, it was said to hit the market in September. But there were other rumors suggesting the phone won’t appear on the market this year.
